This summer, our Club Chairman, Morgs and his two brothers, Owain (himself a former MRFC First XV Captain) and Gareth, walked the length of Hadrian's wall in Northern England to raise money for the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund, honouring their mother who sadly died in 2017 after valiantly losing her battle to this cancer.
Morgs described the trek as "wonderfully fulfilling and challenging," which really means "we had a great time despite the bad weather and the blisters." Carrying a flag featuring photos of their mum and club member David Evans - who also sadly died from pancreatic cancer - they walked to raise awareness.
Despite unkind weather at times, they finished the 90 mile walk and raised over £7000 for a crucial cause. Three brothers, six tired feet and huge sighs of relief at the end of the walk.
Thank you to everyone who helped them raise money for this hugely important cancer charity.
