Senior Men
Strength, experience, cameraderie
At Minchinhampton we take our rugby seriously but not ourselves. With an age group ranging from 18 - 65, we welcome all skills and abilities playing across our senior men's teams.

Minchinhampton I plays in the Counties Four, Tribute Ale Gloucestershire North league. "We play competitive social rugby" said one of the players. "We always aim to progress through the league and our focus is on being seen as a strong and fair team to play".

With over 100 players in the senior section we now have two competitive teams - our second team - Minchinhampton II - are affectionately known as the Rams. They play in the Gloucester & District 1 league. This is social rugby as it's best and enables players with a passion for the game to have a run out and play with friends.

We also have a third team - the Vets team who play several times a year. So no matter your age, your experience or your skill we have something to offer you!

All teams are coached by our resident Director of Rugby, Tom Smith who has brought fun, discipline and rigor to the teams training sessions and provides great support on match days.

Training sessions and matches are often recorded on our own Veo camera which provides the team and individuals with great feedback on their performances.

Our fabulous clubhouse enables us to take our rugby beyond the pitch and enjoy the ever important socialising after the game - with friends and family welcome to share in the joys of the wins and the 'learning' from the losses!

Training Times
All training sessions occur at our Hollybush ground, from the first week in September until the first week in May. We offer integrated summer training in June and pre-season training in July and August

Meet the team
We have an amazing team of coaches who work with our players; supporting them in game development, team work and physical and mental fitness. Our physio, Patricia, offers subsidised treatment on training night to attend to the bumps and bruises inflicted during the last match!
