No rugby club can hope to survive on subscriptions alone and sponsorship money helps us to continue to develop and improve what is still, by local rugby club standards, a relatively new endeavour. 

 

We recently celebrated our 40th anniversary and our clubhouse at Hollybush only opened in 2017. We would be very grateful to anyone who might want to help us further develop rugby at Hollybush and we will always need additional funding to do this.

 

Like everyone else we are facing spiralling costs and are looking to increase the amount of sponsorship money we can raise over the next three-year period and beyond. Our kit is updated on a three yearly cycle to ensure that those investing in a Minchinhampton rugby strip can expect long life from it before it’s updated. In addition, a decision has been made that all Senior and Junior players will have a club purchased “match day” shirt to ensure that everyone is in the correct up to date kit when representing MRFC. 

 

We have just confirmed our kit sponsors for the period between 2024 and 2027. To support our paying members, we have asked these sponsors to commit to a full three-year period. What we offer now to sponsors is infinitely better than when we first undertook the task back in 2021. We were coming to the end of the last of the three major Covid lockdowns which was not lifted until July 2021, and we had no idea what rugby would look like on the other side of this. 

 

We have been on quite a journey since then, continually improving and modernising our product offer as follows:

 

• We have added a new large changing area which has a multipurpose capability

• We have introduced a new members pack and card which allows us to promote our sponsors

• We have delivered two County Festivals, 

• We have established social media content and updates on all of the main platforms. These could easily be adapted to include sponsor messages.

• We have updated our AV capability to allow us to show live sport in the Clubhouse and a facility to run promotional videos. 

• This is our new website and it has a section dedicated to our sponsors as well as sponsor logos at the footer of each page.

• We continue to grow and now include a growing ladies and girls’ section.

 

Our next kit sponsorship cycle will start in 2027.
