What to bring to rugby training and matches
-
In the winter months, bring warm clothing! - it is always several degrees colder up at Minch!!
-
Your child will need a water bottle and appropriate sportswear.
-
If your child is playing in the U9's or older, where there is contact training a gumshield will be required. We recommend you purchase a 'made to fit' gum shield from Funky Gums. Alternatively we have gum shields for sale in the shop which you can boil to mould to your child's mouth should you forget your gum shield.
-
You will not need shin pads.
-
We have a shop on site which is open on Sunday mornings for you to purchase the Minch RFC kit.
-
From U13 upwards players are required to have a 'first' kit - this includes a club tie, white shirt and trousers. Players are requested to change into this after their match and before entering the clubhouse for their after match meal. Ties are available from the club shop.
-
As well as new kit in the shop we also have a second hand rail where you can pick up shirts, shorts and boots.
To learn about boots, studs and blades, please review the RFU's Rugby Safe Guidance on footwear in the link below.
